India has around 20% of its Land covered with Forest. In India Forest is not only provides wood and fuel, we have a thriving non-wood forest products industry. Due to deforestation, trees are removed for other purposes like agriculture, coal mining etc.
So, to reserve our forests, Govt. of India has established & Reserve Forest’s area which protects large area of Natural Habitat for animals. Protection is granted not only to the flora and fauna of that protected region, but also to the human communities who inhabitat these regions and their ways of life.
Now we have 440 Wilflife Santuaries, 42 Tiger Reserves and 18 Biosphere Reserves in India.
We operate Educational Tours to these Wildlife Santuaries, Tiger Reserves and Biosphere Reserves.
